The Gift of Giving This Holiday

Giving Back with Dallas Foundation

Every holiday season it never fails, I find it difficult to buy for at least one person on my list.  In the past I have donated to a charity in someone else’s name as a gift but that is not always easy to do.  Instead of selecting a charity close to my heart or just guessing which charity a person may love, it’s nice to know that your gift means something to the recipient as well as the foundation receiving the donation.

The Dallas Foundation offers the Giving for Good Card.  The giver purchases the card in the amount they want to give and then gives the plastic card (just like a real gift card) to the person on their Christmas gift list.  The recipient then uses the card as cash to donate to a non-profit organization of their choice.

The Giving for Good Card is the best gift for the person who has everything.  Help give them a little holiday cheer this season by allowing them to donate to a worthy cause close to their heart.

Giving for Good Card

The Dallas Foundation sent our family a $25 Giving for Good Card to test out how it works online.  What I love the most is that you can select any 501(c)(3) nonprofit in the United States!  The donation amount is set to a minimum of $10 so we were able to split our $25 card into two donations.  We donated $15 to the North Texas Make-a-Wish Foundation in honor of Gabby and a $10 donation was made to the Kidd Kraddick Foundation to help with Kidd’s Kids per Tapanga’s request.

Redeeming the Giving for Good Card was extremely simple.  The process took us less than five minutes and was only a few short steps.  There was no hassle involved at all.

Full Disclosure: My family received a $25 Giving Card to donate to our charities of choice.  All opinions are 100% my own.
