Breaking Dawn Party Favors – Christmas Ornaments
When preparing for our Breaking Dawn party Pinterest was my best friend, along with Google. I browsed for ideas, searched for Breaking Dawn themed items and pinned crafts regularly. I also searched Google for Twilight Saga party ideas that I felt I could combine with the Breaking Dawn theme. I also searched just for wedding crafts since Breaking Dawn was all about the big wedding between Bella Swan and Edward Cullen.
While searching Pinterest for wedding crafts I stumbled across this Christmas ornament that I knew would be perfect for our guests.
The way Pinterest works is someone can re-pin an idea, craft or image numerous times. When you stumble upon the pin it may not be the original source. Therefore when I was searching Pinterest for wedding ideas this Christmas ornament came up on someone’s Wedding Board suggesting it as the perfect wedding gift where the ornament contains the original wedding invitation cut up and placed inside then given to the couple for Christmas.
My thought was… perfect! I, of course, then changed the idea up and crafted it just for Twilight Saga fans. We printed some of the most loved famous quotes from the Twilight Saga and put them inside the ornament. I used quotes from all the books and on the quotes I also included who said it and which book it came from.
We wanted to show some of the quotes so instead of curling them up completely we slide them in around the ornament. Of course some of the quotes had to cross over others and therefore you can’t fully read all of them but they are still visible. We used tweezers to help align the quotes without them being bent inside the ornament. Then we added some red paper confetti for the final touch. We wanted the ornaments to symbolize the Twilight Saga yet still have the Christmas feel to match any Christmas tree.
We filled a dozen Christmas ornaments for our party. Thankfully my daughter and mother helped me fill them. Everyone loved the party favor and I’m sure plenty of trees will have some Breaking Dawn – Twilight Saga decor on them.
