Grilled Chicken Legs – World Harbors

In celebration of Gabby coming home from the hospital last weekend we had a cookout with our family.  My sister and two of her children came over to visit.  We wanted to prepare something the kids would enjoy and keep it simple at the same time.  My kids love chicken legs so we went with that.

I didn’t have much time to marinade the chicken so I decided to use some World Harbors marinade I had in the pantry.

What I love best about World Harbors is how easy and quick it is.  You simply toss your meat in a ziplock baggie and let the marinade sit for roughly 30 minutes.  While my chicken legs were sitting in the marinade I was gathering our side dishes and pre-heating the grill.  It worked perfectly.

We tested the Island Mango marinade.  I thought the kids would enjoy the sweet and tangy taste and I was right.  It added the perfect sweetness and worked great on grilled chicken.  The adults and kids loved it.

The grill caramelized the sugars in the marinade without giving it the burnt taste I’ve had in the past.  It honestly just brought out the richness and the tangy twist made it perfect.  I believe this is one of our favorites so far and one we will be using on chicken again in the near future.  I’d love to try it with an Asian food dish.

We sided the chicken legs with asparagus and macaroni and cheese.  I prefer my asparagus steamed instead of grilled which made it easy to prepare while the grill was cooking the chicken.

Don’t forget to head over and like the World Harbors Facebook page for some yummy recipes your family will enjoy.

Are you cooking out on the grill for this holiday weekend?  Have big plans for Labor Day?
