Don’t Fret The Sweat Campaign
This year T has moved up to middle school. That’s a big step. When Mom Central contacted me about taking part in the Don’t Fret The Sweat Campaign I knew it fit perfect with us. Tween/Teen confidence is so important and sometimes we don’t even realize it. Can you think back of a time in your adolescent years that you got embarrassed in front of all your friends? I’m sure there is a time in your life that still even as an adult is scarred in your memory. Amazing how some of those incidents can affect ones self-esteem.
This year T is not only active in P.E. running one mile a week but she is also part of JCC (Junior Cadet Corp) where she has to run another mile a week. Needless to say there is a lot of physical activity taking place. Plus her middle school is quite large and I’m sure she doesn’t just go from one class straight into the next, you know how teen girls are with finding their friends in the hall to chat even if for only two minutes.
I love how Unilever has launched the website DontFretTheSweat.com to help parents understand the importance of keeping their child’s confidence up during the transition into the teenage years. There are so many deodorant choices and Unilever has given tips on finding the one that’s right for your child. They also have a fun quiz on their website for parents to take called ‘Improve your Tween-telligence’ and I’ll admit I didn’t do so hot. I would get some right and then get some wrong. But it was a fun game to play and read the statistics provided.
Unilever released the Tween Confidence Index, which suggests that tween confidence is short-lived but can be safe-guarded by maintaining strong communication between tweens and parents. Resources like this can be found at DontFretTheSweat.com, Unilever hopes to show parents that they can talk to their tweens about how the right deodorant can keep them free from odor, embarrassment and discomfort along the way.
You can also print coupons online for various deodorants for your tween/teen.
“I wrote this review while participating in a blog tour campaign by Mom Central on behalf of Unilever and received the items necessary to facilitate my review. In addition, Mom Central sent me a gift card to thank me for taking the time to participate.”
