Strawberry Cream Smoothie Ingredients 2

With only requiring a few ingredients, this smoothie is very quick to make.  Honestly, I have all of these ingredients in my home daily.  Not only do I make smoothies for my breakfast, I also make them for our family sometimes at night for a guilt-free dessert.

Although the Silk Dairy-Free Yogurt is found in the dairy section of Walmart, I assure you it is dairy-free… gluten-free as well!  I went ahead and purchased several of each flavor, even though this recipe only features the vanilla.

My son and I love strawberry yogurt, my teen daughter is a huge blueberry fan and my youngest daughter enjoys peach.  The Silk Dairy-Free Yogurt makes the perfect quick snack for after school.  The kids can just grab them out of the fridge and peel the top.  They toss in some fresh fruit when they are extra hungry.

Add Silk Dairy Free Yogurt

I love cream flavored drinks.  I love cream in general.  Unfortunately, dairy does not always sit well – especially on an empty stomach – which means that I miss out on cream flavored drinks most of the time.  I was so excited to find the Silk Dairy-Free Yogurt in the vanilla flavor.  This makes a plain strawberry smoothie extra creamy!  Empty the entire individual size container of yogurt into your blender.

Toss in your strawberries.  I buy fresh produce, wash it, remove the green leaves and stem, then freeze them.  Since fresh strawberries go bad quickly when left in the refrigerator by freezing them I am sure to always have some on hand for my smoothies.  Plus, the frozen strawberries make the smoothie nice and cold.

To keep the strawberry cream flavor I use almond milk in this smoothie recipe.  Coconut milk may alter the taste.  Don’t forget a few ice cubes!  I use about 3-4 for mine since the strawberries are also frozen.  Once all your ingredients are in the blender, it’s time to mix.

Blending Strawberry Cream Smoothie

Doesn’t it just look delicious?  If you use a NutriBullet you can drink right out of the container you blended it in, which is a nice time saver and limits the number of dirty dishes.  I hate washing dishes.  Otherwise, just pour it into a glass and if you really want to get fancy – add some fresh strawberries to the top.
