I love preparing quick meals for lunch and dinner while keeping fresh and healthy ingredients in our diet. Having a large family, dinner time can be hectic and time consuming. This Italian Grilled Chicken Pasta Salad recipe not only saved time, was able to feed a family of seven but was fresh, healthy and delicious. Everyone was satisfied.
When preparing a pasta salad you can add any fresh vegetables you like. Cucumbers are a family favorite and I enjoy black olives. I can eat black olives on just about anything; sandwiches, pizza, salads.
Ingredients
- Cooked Pasta Noodles – cooled
- Black Olives – diced
- Cucumbers – sliced
- Banana Peppers – chopped
- Tyson® Grilled & Ready® Chicken Strips
- Wish-bone® Italian Dressing
To add protein to our quick dinner, I added Tyson® Grilled & Ready® chicken strips. The Tyson Grilled & Ready Chicken Strips are 100% all natural ingredients and white meat chicken. Plus, it is fully cooked so easy to prepare. This saves me so much time.
While shopping for simple meal solutions at Kroger, I picked up America’s #1 Italian dressing, Wish-bone® Italian Dressing. By adding Wish-bone Italian Dressing to our pasta salad, I was able to provide enough flavor to transform the entire dish – while keeping it well-balanced and healthy.
You can prepare your pasta the night before if you are making the pasta salad for lunch. I like all of our ingredients to be cool except the meat. So I cook the pasta and place it in the refrigerator to cool.
Once your pasta is cool, you can prepare your chicken strips. I left some of the chicken strips whole and diced some of the larger pieces. Since I mixed all the ingredients together, I wanted some smaller chunks of chicken for the kids’ meal.
Slowly pour the Wish-bone Italian Dressing onto your pasta salad. Stir after pouring a little. Remember, you can always add more but can not remove the dressing if you add too much. Make sure your chicken strips have plenty of dressing on them to give some added flavor.
Next toss in your fresh cut veggies. I added banana peppers, black olives and cucumbers. This dish would also be wonderful with cherry tomatoes.

This dish looks delicious. I would have to take the olives off, but it seems like something my family would enjoy! [client]
