A True Blessing

This past Thursday I was surprised with a delivery at my door.  It was from ProFlowers.  I could smell the rich aroma coming out of the box before I even opened it.  It smelled so good.  I’ll be honest, I was giddy with excitement over receiving flowers in the mail, just for me.

The Stargazers were absolutely beautiful.  They came in bud form so to last longer.  It was truly amazing being able to put them in their nice glass vase and watching them bloom open the next day.

The card attached to the flowers read:

You have worked so hard, for so long, raising your kids.  I am sure you don’t take enough time for yourself.  This is a little something just for you to let you know I think you are special.  Wish you lived closer, I’d come help you out.  Or just have lunch.

It was truly a blessing sent to me that brightened my day, my weekend, my whole week.  The sender was a blog reader of mine that left her first comment on my blog over two years ago when she found my site through a giveaway I was hosting.  Since then she has entered various giveaways, read my journal entries and kept up to date on all the Gabby updates I post.  She emails me and leaves heart-felt comments.  The support system I have found online is truly what makes blogging worth while.  I may not have a close nit of friends local but my social network is beyond amazing!  Even those I have never met in person.  Just knowing that someone out there listens and cares touches my heart in a way I can’t even express.

Yesterday the flowers had bloomed even further open.  The whole house smells magnificent!  The kids even love having them sit on the kitchen counter.

Again, thank you to the one that sent me these flowers, you know who you are.  And thank you to all my readers that read my posts, leave comments and virtually support me and Gabby along our journal.

I feel blessed!
