Supernatural: Season 6 - Reuniting

At the end of Season 5 the Winchester brothers go their separate ways. When Season 6 starts back up it’s been a full year since Dean and Sam were hunting together. When they are reunited at the beginning of Season 6 they go right back to their old demon fighting tricks together.

What’s the longest separation you’ve had with your sibling or best friend? What was the first thing you did when you were re-united?

I’ve written a lot about my best friend living in New Hampshire and how most of my close friends are connected to me through social media. With that being said we go months without seeing one another, sometimes over a year or two. Most of the time we are only given the chance to get together during a work related conference. Once we get back together in person we pick up exactly where we left off last. We are usually overly excited about seeing one another and having some adult time away from family and kids. Time to just chat and unwind. It’s nice.

I’ve also gone a full year without seeing my sister before. Again, we were able to pick up where we left off. I believe when you have a bond with someone it doesn’t matter how long you are separated from them, the bond is still there.

The same goes for Dean and Sam. Although Dean had stopped fighting demons and was now raising a child with a woman he was living with, he was able to start right back along side of his brother, Sam. The brothers were able to put the past year to the side and aid one another in what they believe is their destiny.
