The theme for Week 2 of Project We is smiles.
Last Sunday Gabby’s new play therapist came to visit Gabby and provide me a couple of hours of respite. Gabby really enjoys playing board games and putting together puzzles with her. They seem to have hit it off wonderfully which is great. Gabby has a tendency to be closed off at times so for her to find someone she clicks with is a blessing. During my two hour respite I took T to meet my mom at the nail salon so the three of us could get pedicures. It was nice. It was relaxing. It was long past due.
Not only do my children make me smile, a simple pleasure that I rarely indulge in, getting a pedicure makes me smile. I have felt a hundred times better since Sunday when walking around the house looking down I see this:
My guilty obsession that I can’t go without, flip-flop house shoes. I love all flip-flops, especially house shoes. This past week the simple thing that made me smile was spending two hours indulging in a girls day out with my mother and T getting our toes done while sitting in a massage chair and laughing among ourselves.
T shared her Project We blog post this week by sharing her favorite family photos of smiles.
What is a simple life pleasure that makes you smile?
Ok having a pedicure do not make me smile. I think is painful, I am not fan of getting pedicures. I prefer sky high jumping with parachute, a little extreme I think. I am glad you had a great time
