Simple Things In Life – Project We

Last week I missed Project We, seeing as I didn’t blog all week long. Life was pretty busy to say the least. However T did a great job on her post last week on the theme yellow by sharing her experience at the Marine Corps Ball with Junior Cadet Corps.  She has also been doing amazing keeping up with book reviews and sharing her interests.  I encourage you to visit her blog, They Call Me T, and leave some comment support.

This week for Project We the theme is blue.  While I was browsing through photos on my Flickr account to find something blue, I stumbled upon this photo of Brandy and I.  The photo was taken during my visit to New Hampshire back in July of 2009.  It was our first time meeting in real life, although we had been best friends for over a year.  Amazing how virtual supportive relationships can grow.

We are both wearing blue, funny coincidence.  Also how adorable are my braids that Brandy gave me?  I felt like a true farm-girl when we went to visit her family farm in Vermont, which is where we are in this photo.  We are drinking her father’s homemade wine, which I still miss almost two years later.  I can’t wait to see Brandy again at Type A Conference this June!  It will be a full two years since we spent time together in person, however our friendship is just as strong.
