Sheet Music Ornaments
Add life to old sheet music with this simple yet classy Christmas ornament DIY. You will love the way the black and white paper comes to life with the bright Christmas tree lights. Here’s how to make your very own DIY sheet music Christmas ornaments.
How to Make Sheet Music Ornaments
This idea is perfect for your family tree or could be a sweet gift for a child’s music teacher or family member who plays an instrument. You could use sheet music from your wedding song to surprise a spouse or a song that means something to a friend. Or, try using Christmas music to make these. The possibilities are endless.
You will need sheet music, scissors, a drinking glass, a pencil, craft glue, and twine or ribbon.
For each ornament, you will need 5-6 paper circles. Start by using a drinking glass as your stencil to make even rounds. Cut out the circles from the sheet music. Once you have at least 5-6 you can prepare to assemble.
Fold each circle clean in half into a half-moon shape.
Start gluing the halves together as shown. The idea is to glue one half to the next.
Fan the pages out as you glue. When the circle is as full as you wish (you can keep adding more half circles until it is) glue some twine at the top center for hanging.
Your sheet music ornaments are now ready to go!
