Noah’s Sweet Messages – Throwback Thursday

|

Last October while I was in Italy Noah called me one day and left me a voicemail on my iPhone.  It was a very simple and short message.

Hi. Love you, Momma. Bye.

I still have the message saved and I listen to it often.  It’s the cutest thing ever.  At least I thought it was the cutest thing ever until I remembered that I had other recordings of him from the past that I hadn’t listened to in a long time.  I used to have an app on my iPhone called Audioboo which was another social network of sorts where you recorded and shared voice memos.  You could also add an image to go with it.  I’m not sure why I stopped using Audioboo but I instantly looked up my account and listened to Noah’s previous recordings.

Three years ago this February Noah sung Happy Birthday to me all day.  It was the sweetest song I had ever heard.  He knew how much I loved it so literally every hour he would sing to me again.  I remember that night at dinner I asked him to sing again so I could record it and although he didn’t sing the whole song I was able to capture some of it.  He was only three at the time.

I love the giggles and laughter of little kids. It’s the sound of pure joy and innocence. Noah was so ticklish and since I loved to hear him giggle and squeal I took advantage of that and recorded him laughing one day while being tickled.

I am so glad I saved these short audio recordings. They are priceless to me. Although I have saved my iPhone message within my mailbox I have not found a way to save it permanently yet.

Do you have any special recordings of your children? What’s your favorite to listen back on?
