So many great movies came out in 2013! We enjoy owning some of our favorites on blu-ray to watch over and over again. Below are a few of the must-own Disney movies released on Blu-ray this year. New hits such as Monsters U and Planes along with the classics such as Little Mermaid and Mary Poppins. Which Disney movie did you watch time again when you were a child?
“The Little Mermaid” is timeless. The songs, the story, the animation. And now it is released on blu-ray with fantastic features every Disney princess fan will want in their collection. A few of the brand new feature son this set include “Kiss the girl” music video, new commentary, deleted scenes and games and activities.
Planes takes you on an aerial adventure with Dusty (Dane Cook), Skipper Riley, Leadbottom and Dottie. This is a fantastic story about a plane that doesn’t believe in himself but goes on to make his dreams come true. With Dane Cook as Dusty, this is full of perfectly timed humor and is a fabulous family movie.
Go back in time and get to know your favorite Monsters Inc characters in a new way. Monsters U is all about Mike Wazowski and James P. Sullivan in college as they learn how to be the best scarers they can be. As prequels go, this one knocks it out of the park. This one cannot be left off of your list.
The Lone Ranger is action-packed! If you love westerns with action and gun-shooting, horse-riding, train fighting fun, then you will love this movie. Johnny Depp stars as Tonto and his performance is one you have to see. Keep in mind this movie is better suited for older children since it has so much action and a few more mature themes.
Of all the movies in this list, Marry Poppins takes the cake for being the most-loved classic of all. There are many features on the 50th anniversary edition that you will not want to be without including the “Mary-oke sing along” and “The Making of Mary Poppins.”
This is just an all-around feel good movie. With the release on blu ray, the colors are more vivid and you can enjoy this timeless tale with your family over and over again.
