It’s back to school time, which means packing lunches daily! This week my daughter took a mustache bento box lunch to school. Keep reading to see what all I packed inside and to print a free lunchbox note.

I love using sandwich cutters to make fun shapes for my children’s lunches. You can find sandwich cutters online or at Walmart. You can also use cookie cutters for the same goal. Make sure your deli meat and cheese are laying flat on the bread instead of rolled. Then press the sandwich down by hand. The flatter the sandwich, the easier it is to cut. I push the shape cutter down as far as I can, then I flip the sandwich over and press it from the backside to make sure the bottom bread is fully cut into the correct shape.

You can give your bento lunch more edible designs by cutting out the cheese into shapes. My teen enjoys eating sliced cheese so I made her name using small letter cutters.

While shopping at Walmart for our bento box supplies, I picked up some of the Horizon™ Sandwich Crackers with peanut butter. Simple way to add some organic protein to their lunch.

The real, organic ingredients make it an easy snack solution. All of my kids love the delicious, organic peanut butter taste.

I made pasta salad the night before and let it cool in the refrigerator over night. This made the best side to the mustache turkey sandwiches. Plus, there was some leftover for me to have at lunch while the kids were gone.

I love the resealable lid to keep from causing spills in her backpack. She can grab one of these milk jugs on her way out the door in the morning to drink on the way to school.
