Bridget Jones’s Baby opens in theaters TOMORROW, Friday, September 16th.  Gather your girlfriends, mother and sisters… make it a ladies night out to watch this hilariously touching film.

Oscar® winners Renée Zellweger and Colin Firth are joined by Patrick Dempsey for the next chapter of the world’s favorite singleton in Bridget Jones’s Baby.  Directed by Sharon Maguire (Bridget Jones’s Diary), the new film in the beloved comedy series based on creator Helen Fielding’s heroine finds Bridget unexpectedly expecting.

After breaking up with Mark Darcy (Firth), Bridget Jones’s (Zellweger) “happily ever after” hasn’t quite gone according to plan.  Fortysomething and single again, she decides to focus on her job as top news producer and surround herself with old friends and new.  For once, Bridget has everything completely under control.  What could possibly go wrong?

Then her love life takes a turn and Bridget meets a dashing American named Jack (Dempsey), the suitor who is everything Mr. Darcy is not.  In an unlikely twist she finds herself pregnant, but with one hitch…she can only be fifty percent sure of the identity of her baby’s father.

The much-anticipated third installment of the Bridget Jones’s franchise welcomes fellow Academy Award® winner Emma Thompson to the cast.  Longtime collaborators Tim Bevan and Eric Fellner of Working Title Films produce alongside Debra Hayward.  Universal Pictures will distribute Bridget Jones’s Baby in North America and select international territories.

I was instantly #TeamJack after seeing the preview.  First, isn’t Patrick Dempsey so good looking?  Plus, I think a new leading man in the Bridget Jones movie series is a great thing.  Why only rehash an old flame?

Are you #TeamJack or #TeamDarcy?

Thanks to Universal Pictures I was able to attend an advance screening of the film a few weeks ago.  The ladies and I started the evening off with some Bridget Jones’s Baby goodies.  Each of the ladies that went with me to the screening received their own pamper kit in a branded tote bag.  So cute!

I took my mom, adult daughter and best friend with me.  The four of us had a great time sharing many laughs and enjoying a night out.

We headed to dinner before the screening.  Sharing appetizers among adult conversation, away from the kids was relaxing.

Then we headed to the theater.

Bridget Jones's Baby

The film was a nice mix of comedy and drama.  There was a healthy dose of sweet gestures on display, as well.  I won’t give away too many secrets but one of the potential fathers was scoring some brownie points throughout the movie by being overly attentive.

One scene that I loved was when Bridget attends a music festival with her co-worker.  Many hilarious events took place during her weekend stay.  I must admit it made me want to visit a festival myself.  Maybe a girls weekend away?

Bridget Jones's Baby

One of my favorite parts during this scene in the movie is when Bridget and her friend run into a famous musician and ask him to take their photo.  Having no idea who he is, they simply want him to use their camera to snap a photo of them together.  He assumes they want a photo with him and they think he’s crazy.  Again, I won’t spoil the surprise but it was quite funny.

When Bridget shows up to the festival with her friend she thinks she is going to a weekend spa getaway to celebrate her birthday.  That’s why she is dressed in all white and heels.  Her friend knew she would turn down the getaway if she knew the truth.  Priceless…
