Things I have learned by moving to the country
I hate Mosquitoes more than I did, which I didn’t think possible.
The country view really is as peaceful as everyone says.
Hand washing dishes is for the birds…. actually I don’t even understand that saying and birds can’t even wash my dishes so I’ll just say… The feeling of prunie fingers haunts me hours after I’ve finished and makes me shiver. I long for a dish washer, or a maid.
My son is more independent. Maybe that’s more about timing than the move but he loves being a boy outside shooting his airsoft gun and getting dirty.
I’ve seen Mosquitoes breeding. The only way I could see more insect species is to visit a rain forest.
I love swinging on the porch.
My allergies hate me.
My dog loves me and is very thankful for the extra yard to roam.
I yearn to plant a garden.
I also want to start a compost.
The term pet can be used for any living creature and is not limited to dogs, cats, reptiles or small rodents in cages.
I can go for a healthy jog without ever leaving our property.
5 acres is not enough space to block the noise of our neighbors playing on their dirt bikes…. at 6am.
I have decided I do enjoy it here. The country is nice and I have big plans for it.
I may or may not have laughed out loud when I read you saw mosquitoes breeding! LMAO OMG
The country is a great place and all that you have noted is WHY I too love/dislike the country at times!
And oh no your poor hands?! Washing dishes will give ya some meat on your bones, or strength in your hands .. OR IDK something GREAT will come from prune looking hands after you wash dishes on your own!
Yeah… IDK .. all I do know is I am happy for you .. VERY VERY happy!
Seriously… the mosquitoes were flying around connected so I assume. I am enjoying the country, I must admit it’s not all new to me since I spent my summers growing up in the country in Tennessee but at least there you have mountains and cooler weather than here in Texas. What I love the most about the move is our families being together. 😉
I knew you were not quite oblivious to “country” per say but I think a visit versus living is a whole different view/experience. I agree, the best part for me watching you all is enjoying seeing you HAPPY with a new family unit combined together!
Welcome aboard ! …. it’s just the begining.. and yes … the country is for …. all the above !
Thanks! I am enjoying it and am excited about things to come.
