JCPenney Fair and Square Pricing

On February 1st JCPenney launched their new fair and square pricing program.  I have shopped at JCPenney my whole life.  My mom still shops there to this day and I haven’t found a store that has jeans to fit Gabby better than Arizona jeans.  Since she’s so tall and skinny the adjustable waist always worked perfect for her.  I always found JCPenney’s prices reasonable.  However I would watch for their special coupons and if the coupon required you to use your JCPenney’s credit card then I would have my mom shop with me and I’d give her the cash since I didn’t have one of their cards myself.  It could be a hassle at times.

With their new fair and square pricing, coupons no longer exist.  The pricing structure is low and fair all day long with no early morning sales or coupon clipping.  So now even the night owls will get the same good deals as the early birds.

My mom and I went shopping after they changed over to the new fair and square pricing structure and were amazed.  The 1st and 3rd Friday of each month they lower prices.  I was blown away at the fact my mom got a pair of dress pants for $2, a shirt for $2 and a pair of boots for $15.  That’s a full outfit for work under $20.  That’s amazing.  I racked up clothes for the kids as well as several dressy shirts that I’ve worn on my recent trips.

While shopping I posted this photo on both my Facebook profile wall as well as my blog’s Facebook page wall, on Instagram and Twitter.  I received multiple comments among all the social networks from people shocked that all of their boots were priced at $15.  When I purchased my boots last Fall I spent $65 on one pair at 50% off during a sale.  For $15 it was worth purchasing boots for next year.  I know of at least four people that went out shopping within the week and bought new boots and sent me photos.  It was truly a deal to talk about.

Full Disclosure: I was given a gift card to test out the new fair and square shopping experience.  I wrote about JCPenney because I love the store.  All opinions are 100% mine.

Have you shopped JCPenney’s new fair and square pricing?  What was your #JCPFind?  Have you seen all their new commercials?  I just love Ellen!

  1. Ha ha! I was one of those four people that went out and bought boots at JCPenney after I saw your photo on twitter! They really are $15…and that’s not a sale price, that’s the every day price. Mine are grey flannel wedge boots, and are very cool. We also got the teenage boy a Van’s sweatshirt for $13. Yep. $13. Van’s. Can’t wait to go back and find more treasure.
