Indira Salon Review – Hair Color & Cut
I took a trip to New York City, in the middle of September, for a Ragu experience since I’m one of their blog ambassadors. Before leaving for the trip I knew I had to get my hair colored. It had been months since I had my hair done. Honestly for the past couple of years I have not had a successful time finding a hair stylist I like. The woman who used to do my hair moved out of state, unfortunately.
Indira Salon contacted me on Twitter and asked me if I would be interested in reviewing their salon and services. This was very intriguing to me so I jumped on the opportunity. Especially since I needed it so desperately and it was perfect timing.
I called the day of my appointment and scheduled T an appointment to have feathers put in her hair. She had been wanting them since summer but we were just finally making it happen. The appointment process was very smooth and they were able to fit her right in the same day. The lady was very polite and went over pricing on the phone with me.
When walking into the Indira Salon it was instant peace. The whole atmosphere was relaxing and the ladies were more than welcoming. They offered us drinks and were very gracious we were there. Nice music played in the background and the waiting area was very comfortable for Gabby.
The hair stylist I had an appointment with was named Taylor. She was fabulous. They did not tell her ahead of time that I was conducting a review so I felt very ‘secret shopper’ like. I actually was pleased they didn’t tell her because I was able to get the true feel of how she treats her clients. We talked about her recommendations for my hair, I showed her a photo of a previous style and color I had and tried to explain what I was hoping for the best I could. She understood 100%.
As Taylor started highlighting my hair we chatted about daily life, travels and other nonsense. It was perfect. I was more than comfortable. She also discussed the time it took my hair to take the color and what steps she recommended for future hair care. As she was rinsing the color out she decided to add a special conditioner to my hair since it felt so dry. I was impressed that she went above and beyond to meet a need.
I love it! The color and highlights are perfect and so is the cut. It’s exactly what I wanted and I’m so glad that Taylor could see my vision. I have now officially found myself a new hair stylist. I will be continuing my visits to Indira Salon from now on.
The above photo is from a blogger event I went to tonight. The photo was taken with an iPhone so isn’t as great quality but you can tell the color is still vivid in my hair. It hasn’t faded and still looks great.

I dont live in Texas so don’t count my comment.. Why didn’t you go RAGU red orange? get into the spirit of things? Just kidding it looks great and I like your color.
It does me no good to win since I don’t live there, so I’m just commenting to say your hair looks FANTASTIC!
My hubby asked me to grow my hair out after I had it short for about a year. I love it short, so it’s a bit of a sacrifice on my part. But I told him I would grow it out in the winter and reserve the right to go short again when it gets hot next summer.
He likes my hair long and highlighted. Unfortunately, my home highlighting isn’t cutting it any longer. And I have got to find a stylist who can make my hair do something even when it’s long. I’m tired of feeling boring!

I’d love to get some auburn highlights added. I’ve been blonde my whole life, and I think some red would be a nice change. And cut in some layers for some flair! I’ve been to Indira before and LOVE it there!

Would love to win! I’ve not had my hair cut (more than a trim) in over a year. I could also use a color. 🙂

Mine needs colored bad right now. However, I think I’m going to have to endure one more self-color before I can treat myself since we have a wedding to attend this weekend and I’m 800 miles from home and my favorite hair stylist!
I like my hair just above my shoulders. My husband likes it longer, but it’s so thick and hard to deal with if it’s longer. I like highlights too, but rarely get them.
