Hundred Acre Wood Teacup Garden – Dollar Store DIY

|

Disney is bringing back a classic to the big screen! Disney’s Christopher Robin is coming to theaters this summer, showing our favorite characters all grown up in a live-action film. I am eager to share this childhood favorite with my kids so we created this Hundred Acre Wood Teacup Garden – Dollar Store DIY.

My oldest daughter’s nursery was decorated in Winnie the Pooh. That was over 2o years ago! I loved Eeyore before then. When I heard there was a new Disney’s Christopher Robin film coming out this summer I couldn’t wait for more details.

In the heartwarming live-action adventure, the young boy who embarked on countless adventures in the Hundred Acre Wood with his band of spirited and lovable stuffed animals, has grown up and lost his way. Now it is up to his childhood friends to venture into our world and help Christopher Robin remember the loving and playful boy who is still inside.

CHRISTOPHER ROBIN arrives in theatres everywhere on August 3, 2018!

While you wait until the summer, enjoy this fun craft with your kids.

Hundred Acre Wood Teacup Garden – Dollar Store DIY

I purchased almost all of the supplies at our local Dollar Tree. Feel free to get creative and use items you have around the house. For the design on the teacup, I used my Silhouette to cut gold vinyl.

Hundred Acre Wood Teacup Garden Supplies:

  • White Teacup
  • Wood Chip Vase Filler
  • Faux Moss
  • Mini Mushrooms
  • Faux/Silk Flower
  • Toy Eeyore (or any favorite character)

I am always impressed by what I can find at Dollar Tree. This little Eeyore figure was only one of the dozen Disney figurines they had. For a buck, these make cute toys for kids and also the perfect size for cupcake toppers!

If you have a Silhouette or a Cricut, you can download this free PDF cut file to use. In a Silhouette, simply open the image in your design application and set it to trace and cut. You can adjust the size of the design by dragging the image to the desired height for your cup.

Let the kids have fun adding stuff to their teacup garden. You can pull the faux flowers off the plastic stems and add as many as you like. The bag of moss from Dollar Tree had a ton stuffed inside it! You could easily fill several teacups. We bought two bags and had so much left over after opening only one bag.
