I love strawberries. A few years back I had my first taste of strawberries with balsamic vinegar and black pepper. It was amazing. The sweetness mixed with the spice of pepper and sour of vinegar is a combo I never thought I would like. Funny part was, it was on top of ice cream! The dessert was heavenly. Therefore, I knew I would love it on my salads.
Ingredients
- 2 cups Sliced Strawberries
- 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
- 2-4 tablespoons canola oil (depending on preference of thickness)
- 1 1/2 teaspoons black pepper
- 1 teaspoon sugar
How to Make Homemade Strawberry Balsamic Salad Dressing
Add the above ingredients into your blender and mix until smooth. Store the dressing in a jar and use as desired.

We stocked our freezer with several variations of the Healthy Choice Cafe Steamers. They are so simple to make – just four minutes in the microwave, have a delicious fresh taste, and no artificial ingredients.
The one that I paired with the strawberry salad was the Chicken & Vegetable Stir Fry. The 100% Natural Chicken meat and veggies steam fresh right in the microwave. The sauce is in the bottom compartment of the dish. As soon as you remove the meal from your microwave you can see the steam coming from the container. Be careful, it is extremely hot.
Often times I’ve attempted to steam veggies in the microwave and they become soggy. I love the steaming container technology that Healthy Choice provides. The vegetables came out with the right amount of crispness while still tasting thoroughly steamed.
