You may be thinking it is impossible, but here are some of the best healthy food choices in Disneyland. If you think and plan ahead, you can make good choices throughout your stay in the park. While there aren’t many in park restaurants or snack locations that are strictly healthy options, there are several places with a wide variety selection.

Redd Rockett’s Pizza Port

You may think there is no way a pizza place can be a healthy choice, but there are a number of options that allow you to go healthier. Not only does the menu include a variety of pizzas including a thin crust vegetable choice, but you have 6 different salad options. These salad are full of vegetables and include grilled chicken and light dressings. Simple pasta and marinara may be higher in carbohydrates, but it is a lower fat option that could work for many. While they did not have gluten free pasta the last we checked, it is said to be on the menu soon so definitely ask for it when you visit.

Plaza Inn

This is the hot spot for character breakfasts and hearty fried chicken meals that aren’t healthy, but they also have a delicious roasted rosemary and lemon chicken that is delicious and a lot healthier choice. Their sides are usually basics of mashed potatoes and a vegetable of the day, but you may be able to go with double vegetables to avoid some of the higher fat content.

Bengal Barbecue

Grilled kabobs of chicken and beef are a great healthier choice. They taste good, are easy to eat and will be a favorite of everyone in your group. Add these to a serving of fresh fruit and split a salad from another location for a great healthy meal that can easily be made gluten free and low fat. This is a favorite healthy food choice in Disneyland for many people, so expect to wait in line a bit when you do visit this snack bar in Adventureland.

Food Carts for Snacks

There are two great food carts on Main Street, and one that can often be seen between Toontown and Fantasyland. These carts contain things like juice boxes, fresh pineapple, watermelon and mango as well as single serving pretzels and hummus. There are dried fruits, pretzels and baked chips at these as well. Similar snacks can be found in the concession areas near Adventureland and the corner of Fantasyland near the Village House restaurant with a smaller variety.

Rancho del Zocalo Restaurante

Yes, this Mexican inspired restaurant has a ton of great options that can be lower fat and healthier. With grilled chicken and grilled carne asada choices on the menu, you can easily substitute for fresh vegetables and no cheese or sauce for a healthy option to make your own tacos. Their pico de gallo is also a phenomenal substitute for the richer sauces often served with their meals.

Village House

Located in the corner of Fantasyland, you’ll find what looks like a simple burger place. While they do serve great burgers and an excellent chicken sandwich, you will also find a few well made salad options. Ask for no sauce or cheese on your chicken sandwich and make it even healthier, or opt for a salad with a light dressing instead.

These are some of the best healthy food choices in Disneyland for your family. While they may not offer everything you are looking for, you know you won’t be left without options to feed your family. Another great way to feed your family delicious and healthy meals while in the park is to get your hand stamped and head to the many restaurants in Downtown Disney which is adjacent to the park.
