Good Night Sleep
This weekend the kids and I went to San Antonio for a blogger event at Sea World. Since I couldn’t find another adult to go with me and help out I asked my nephew, Tyler, if he wanted to join us. He’s almost 13, next month and we decided to go with a buddy system, T and Gab, Tyler and Noah. It worked pretty well.
The sleeping arrangements not so much… Don’t get me wrong, the double mattress at the Hyatt was plenty comfortable enough. Plus their options of pillows suited me perfect. I usually can’t find a flat pillow at a hotel.
I woke up earlier than everyone this morning and decided to share photos of the kids sleeping. T will probably have my head for this if she finds out.

Do you see Gabby’s body shape under the covers? She is literally taking up more than half the bed. I know she sleeps this way so I opted to have Tyler sleep on the other side of Noah. Noah always has to sleep next to me. At least for now while he’s still a momma’s boy.

Do you see that tiny little space left? That’s where my body was squeezed in. I swear I think both boys had more room than me.
In the middle of the night I got a little warm from all the extra body heat in the bed I’m sure so I stuck my leg out of the cover, forgetting I was practically falling out of the bed and kicked the bed frame with my ankle. That was my incentive to get up and turn down the AC.
Then I dreamed about how nice it would be to push all the kids in the floor and stretch out in the comfy bed alone.
Are your kids bed hogs?

Yes, my youngest son is a bed hog and my oldest was a cuddler (with a crap load of body heat) luckily my oldest sticks to his own room now. Between my youngest and my dog I normally have no room at night on my king size bed!
And yep my dog sleeps with me most of the time, I discovered that after my divorce that was the only way I could sleep at night was to have her there with me.
Sorry I rambled but I totally get your pain!
I know what you mean by push all the kids in the floor … Once I slept with my little cousin and he kicked me all night long, until I really wanted to push him out of bed 🙂 Still they look like a little angels when they sleep.
We used to sleep with our youngest daugther until she was two years old, but then we decided to erradicate it completely, as she was spoiling our sleep.
We simply got up exhausted most of the time.
We share our quality time during the day, not at bed….
Simply adorable!
My daughter loves to crawl into bed with us and she not only takes up all my space, but she LOVES to kick around, flail her arms and grit her teeth! It’s SO much fun sleeping with that little girl, lol! But, when she doesn’t come to our bed, I actually miss her and have to check on her all night!
Well, in the second I wake up it makes want to hang someone, but you know, few minutes later (ok, ok, seconds later..) I can’t resist them.
