Fun Photos in the Hopsital

Gabby went back to the hospital again yesterday.  After our ER visit on Saturday we knew they were going to admit her, it was only a matter of time.  Her medications aren’t working correctly, some are counter-acting with others.  It’s a mess.

While we were wasting time waiting for the doctor to arrive in our holding room I told Gabby how pretty she looked in her jeans/shirt and asked for a photo.  Getting Gabby to calm down, turn around, stand still and smile… is like pulling teeth at times.  And you were literally hear me saying ‘calm down, turn around, stand still, please smile, Gabby!, seriously, fine I’m not letting you see my iPhone then…‘  That’s usually when it works.

The photo taking process starts off going something like this:

Then finally I’ll get one like this…

{Deep Breath} After 20 minutes, I’m just happy to get a smile while she’s standing still.  At least we had some fun and laughter while in the hospital.

Noah is a camera hog where Gabby just doesn’t want to stand still long enough. Do your kids enjoy taking photos?

  1. My daughter and two year old LOVE camera, but AJ it is kinda like Gabby… you are happy & thankful for a still child with a smile!

I love this post, have to make the best of what life hands you! XOXO

  2. She is a beautiful girl. And I know all about kids not standing still long enough to take pictures. Oh my gosh, what a challenge with my 4. There is always someone who is not looking or not smiling. LOL

  3. This post had me laughing so hard! I mean, my daughter Lizzie is the same way! She will turn her head away from the camera no matter what angle I get at. And now that she is 3.5 she has started to put her hand in front of the lens! I tell ya it is a lucky shot with her smiling and not moving!

My son? He will smile very well. I have tons a great shots of him, close up and all!
