On Set at Filming Location for Station 19 – Interview with ABC TV Cast
Have you been watching ABC’s Station 19? Whether you are a Grey’s Anatomy fan or have never seen the show, you will still enjoy this new spin-off. Station 19 kicked off earlier this year and is now in its second season. While in LA I was given the opportunity to visit the set and filming location for Station 19. I also took part in an interview with Showrunner & Executive Producer Stacy McKee, actress Jaina Lee Ortiz (“Andy Herrera”) and actor Boris Kodjoe (“Captain Robert Sullivan”).

Filming Location for Station 19 – Set Visit
I love visiting film sets. It is so fascinating to me to see how a television show or movie comes to life. It amazes me how they can turn a small space into something so grand on our screen. Plus, it is exciting to see a show you watch and love in person, it makes the story so much more realistic.
Do you recognize this kitchen?
Walking around the set of Station 19 was so much fun. Boris Kodjoe and Jaina Lee Ortiz gave us a tour. We were able to snap our own photos along the way but had to hurry past a few areas due to filming. Being on the filming location for Station 19 was special. When you watch the show you would never guess that some of the rooms are small with low ceilings (or no ceiling since it is a set with opening lighting) and set up next door to one another.
The boathouse isn’t too far from the Captain’s office and the locker room is right beside a common area.
Meeting the Cast of Station 19
We could instantly tell how much the cast loves their job. They are passionate about their work and have great chemistry with one another. They were chatting about their day outside of work and appeared to truly be friends. I bet they love working together and it is like a second family.
Everyone was so friendly and welcoming to us on the Station 19 set.
Interview with Stacy McKee, Jaina Lee Ortiz, and Boris Kodjoe
This was one of the most fun interviews I have ever had. Everyone laughed throughout the whole interview and poked fun and teased one another. It was magical. They play very serious roles on Station 19 so it was nice to see them relaxed and laughing.
