We found everything we needed at our local dollar store. Check yours out to buy everything you need for less.
Directions:
1. Begin by cutting squares out of your tissue paper. An 8 inch by 8 inch square is perfect.
2. Create several layers of squares in various colors. Pinch them in the center with your clothespin. Fluff and adjust the tissue paper as needed to make the wings look even and nice!
3. Cut two lengths of pipe cleaners to use as antennae. Simply apply them with glue and curl them around a pencil for a realistic look.
4. You can now draw on a face if you wish, add googly eyes, or leave the face plain.

You can now add string to hang your butterflies, lay them in a plant, or add a magnet to the back. Either way, they offer some fun and whimsical color to your space in just minutes.
Give these easy DIY tissue paper butterflies a try and see how fun they can be. They make great party décor or are just a fun craft to enjoy as a family.
