Superheroes are all the rage these days! Add a little pop of superhero fun to your tree when you give this DIY superhero holiday ornament a try. Making one is easy, so take a peek below and see how you can get started!
Supplies needed:
- Red and yellow craft felt or foam
- Blue ribbon for hanging
- Scissors
- Craft glue
Directions:
1. Begin by cutting a pointy oval out of your red foam or felt. To do this, just make an oval, then snip away at sections of it to give it some pointy edges. The idea is to have it look like the bubbles seen in comic strips.
2. Now, cut out your wording from the felt or foam. You can use words like POW or BAM. Freehand the letters or use a stencil of some type. Make your letters small enough so they fit on the red cut out you just created. Cut the letters out and apply them to the top of the red base with craft glue.
3. Once your letters are glued in place, attach the blue ribbon for hanging. Fold the ribbon, add some glue to the ends, and press it to the back of the red base.
Your superhero Christmas ornament is now ready to be displayed. Add it to your tree for an extra POP or POW of superhero charm. These ornaments would also double as a great gift tag on top of your superhero fan’s present. Such an easy craft to make with the kids!
Which superhero is your favorite? Who is the superhero fan in your family?
