DIY Halloween Decor – Eek Block Craft
I love decorating for Halloween and fall. I especially love crafting! This simple DIY Halloween Decor – Eek Block Craft is something you can put together in minutes and even let the kids help make! Get as creative as you wish and use any color paint that matches your Halloween home decor.
DIY Halloween Decor Supplies
- 2 – E Wood Letters
- 1 – K Wood Letter
- 4 – Square Wood Blocks
- Wiggle Eyes – various sizes
- Green Acrylic Paint
- Black Acrylic Paint
- Paint Brush
- Hot Glue Gun and Glue
- Sand Paper
Eek Block Craft Directions
Use sand paper to knock off the rough edges of your wood, if applicable.
Paint the wood blocks green. Set to the side to dry.
Paint the three wood letters with black paint and let dry. Remember to paint the edges of the letters so only black shows no matter which way the blocks are facing after they are glued down.
You will want to move the letters at least once in the middle of drying so the paint does not cause them to get stuck to the surface they are drying on. Using parchment paper will help.
Attach the letters to each block with hot glue.
Attach the wiggle eyes with hot glue to your fourth wooden block.
You can also add some wiggle eyes to your letters for added decor.
Cute craft! I would like for you to share it at The Crafty Corner link party this week. I hope to see you there 🙂
This is so adorable and easy to make! Thanks for sharing!
These are awesome! I did something similar for thanksgiving blocks. Love the green with the eek and googly eyes. I’m visiting today from the Small Victories Link Up.
I love the addition of the googly-eyes! So perfect for Halloween. Thanks for linking up with Merry Monday – I’m pinning to our party board.
I love this and how cool are the googly eyes. I am pinning this for sure. Thank you for sharing at Dishing it and Digging it link party. We love having you.
