Disney’s The Jungle Book on Digital Download & Blu-ray
Our family loves Disney movies. Actually we love all things Disney, that is no secret. With our recent travels, we missed the chance to see The Jungle Book in theaters and were beyond disappointed. We have been counting down the days until Disney’s The Jungle Book on Digital Download & Blu-ray came available. Finally this week we were able to sit down as a family and enjoy this amazing film. Which just makes us even sadder that we missed it in 3D! The graphics and special affects were stunning!
Although I have known the story of The Jungle Book since I was a child, I was still mesmerized and pleasantly surprised while watching the movie. I could sing the songs and even knew the direction the plot was headed, but it felt like I was watching something new.
During the movie our whole family came to love each of the characters. My favorite was Baloo, although who doesn’t love the protective nature of Bagheera?
In the original The Jungle Book, Mowgli showed courage and loyalty to the wolf-pack, but in this 2016 version his strength shined through even more than I expected. I feel like Neel Sethi truly did a remarkable job portraying his character and bringing him to life.
The first thing my son asked after seeing the film was “can we watch it again? I loved it!”. I share his enthusiasm. There are parts that pull at your heartstrings and may even bring a tear to your eye.
