Decorating for the Holidays with Fresh Flowers
The flowers shown in this post were sent to us by ProFlowers.
The holidays are my favorite time of the year. I love to decorate the entire house. There seriously is not a room without at least one piece of Christmas decor. Currently we have three full size Christmas trees that are decorated with ornaments in the home – living room, upstairs game room and my office. Each year we like to add something a little different than from the previous year. Fresh flowers with a holiday theme are perfect for brightening up a home while keeping it festive.
Unfortunately, due to allergies all three of our Christmas trees are artificial. The real trees that we visit annually at the Christmas tree lot are full and beautiful but they just put off too strong of a scent for me to handle in my living room. When we received the table-top 12 Days of Christmas Cypress tree the kids were thrilled. This was our chance to have a REAL Christmas tree in the home without suffering from severe allergies. The European Cypress Christmas tree even came with lights and ornaments to count the 12 Days of Christmas carol!
Each day of carol has its own little wooden ornament that you can remove and place in a felt pocket around the base of the tree. We were able to decorate the tree the way we wanted and place the wooden ornaments in any specific order. Noah wanted to start putting the ornaments in the pockets based on the date but we agreed to wait and do a countdown to Christmas instead.
The Day 12 ornament will come off of the tree first, on December 13, and count backwards until there is only one day left on Christmas Eve. Not only is the 12 Days of Christmas tree from ProFlowers a fun family activity, it is also a beautiful centerpiece on our kitchen bar.
The Snowflakes and Embers with plaid cylinder base is a gorgeous arrangement. This bouquet would make the perfect hostess gift for your upcoming Christmas party. I have mine displayed in the middle of my dining room table. Actually since it is so festive and beautiful – plus smells wonderfully – I have moved it around a few times. I always want to make sure it is within eyesight to enjoy the most I can. So I may just move it to my office next! I also love how the plaid cylinder is reusable for next year.
Who will you be purchasing flowers for this holiday season – yourself or a loved one?
Full Disclosure: ProFlowers sent our family the two arrangements shown above to conduct this review. All opinions are 100% my own as well as the photographs featured in this post.
