Best Party Punch - Using Sherbet, Fresh Fruit & Sprite®

Since my childhood, a party wasn’t complete without sherbet punch. I have now introduced my family to the same favorite party punch that mixes a little sweetness in our Sprite®. Instead of only adding sherbet to our Sprite®, I also love slicing fresh fruit to garnish the punch.

This party punch recipe is colorful and festive. It can be served for any holiday occasion. By adding sherbet, you get just enough sweetness to make it a punch but it also helps keep it cold. I remember when I was a kid I always tried to scoop as much sherbet into my cup from the punch bowl as I could. It was the only way to enjoy a dessert while eating dinner!

To bring out the lime flavor in the Sprite®, I cut fresh lime slices to place in my punch bowl. To make it a little more festive I added fresh raspberries. You can also freeze your fruit to serve as ice inside your punch if you know it’ll set out longer.

When making your party punch, pour some of your Sprite® into your punch bowl slowly to avoid it frizzing up, then scoop in your sherbet, then slowly pour more Sprite® on top. Once you have the desired amount of punch ready, add your fruit garnish.

I recommend making a smaller batch of punch at a time and keeping some sherbet in the freezer to refill your punch bowl as the party progresses. This way it doesn’t melt before your guests can consume it. You can also put all the individual ingredients out for guests to make their own single serving size of party punch.

To accommodate all guests, offer fresh bottled water on your drink table for guests that prefer to not drink a sweet punch. I placed my leftover lime slices and raspberries in a bowl for my guests to be able to flavor their water. They can pop the raspberries directly into their Dasani® bottled water or pour it into a cup with ice, whichever they prefer. I also like to offer other individual beverages such as Coca-Cola®, Gold Peak® Sweet Tea, and Diet Coke®.
