Hermione is not just my daughter’s cat, she is family.  Since we have big dogs in the house, Hermione stays in my daughter’s room.  With her living in a smaller space it is important that she is able to keep it as odor-free as possible.  That’s why the Litter Genie® Cat Litter Disposal System comes in handy.  When it comes time to clean, we use the below all natural litter box cleaner recipe.

All Natural Litter Box Cleaner Ingredients

• Glass Spray Bottle
• 4 Tablespoons of White Vinegar
• 1/2 teaspoon of Dawn Soap
• 2 teaspoons of Baking Powder
• 3 cups of Warm Water

Start by adding one cup of your warm water in the glass bottle.  Make sure you are mixing your ingredients over a sink or have plenty of paper towels ready, it is possible to overflow or spill.

Slowly add your baking powder and soap into your glass bottle.

Make sure you let the baking powder dissolve into the water before you add the vinegar to prevent it from foaming up and overflowing. It took about five minutes to dissolve for me.  Do not aggressively shake the cleaner, this will cause it to foam.  Once the baking powder has dissolved, slowly pour in your white vinegar.  Finally, add the remaining two cups of warm water and roll your glass bottle around to mix well.
