House MD Facebook Game

I was recently introduced to the House MD Facebook game.  T and I love the television show, House.  She actually owns each season on DVD that has been released thus far.  Since T wants to be a surgeon when she grows up and has always loved medical shows, for Christmas I bought her a Wii game similar to the House MD Facebook game.  The plus side of the House MD Facebook game is she doesn’t have to fight her younger siblings for Wii time and can play this game in the comfort of her own room.  Plus she can play against her friends and compare scores via Facebook.  No loading a game into the Wii console or going out of her way to play, she can simply click the link while on Facebook.

Dr. House is known for his rude yet witty remarks.  I think the game keeps the hilarious nature of his personality by portraying it through context of play.  While helping cure patients and diagnose medical conditions the game shows the conversations between House and his team, just like in the show.  Each character has the same attitude and demeanor as they do on the television show, so if you have a favorite character separate from Dr. House then you will still be satisfied with the game.

The graphics of the game are amazing.  It looks just like the show with each character resembling themselves.  I was extremely impressed when playing the game.  Within each step of the game, the rooms of the hospital brought me into the scenes I was used to watching on TV.  For a House MD fan this would be the perfect game because they would enjoy taking part in the show they watched for years.

Each step in solving the medical case has it’s own mini-game within the main level.  You play different games such as memory, clicking on floating objects within a set time frame and completing a task given as fast as you can.  You move around the hospital and go from room to room by a simple click of the mouse.  Just about all ages can play this game but it does require a lot of reading.  Each prompt must be read instead of hearing what step to do next.

You earn awards within each step and/or level you complete.  There is plenty of opportunity to share with your friends your success so if they are playing the game and following along it’s a great way to compete with one another or encourage them to accomplish the next level.

You can change your avatar within the game as well.  You can select your hair style, clothing, hair color, glasses, skin tone and much more.  Then you see yourself walking around the hospital.  I would recommend the game to others and will probably play again with my daughter, or I guess I should say against her.
