San Antonio Weekend Getaway Giveaway

I’m so excited to share one of the best giveaways I’ve ever hosted here on my blog.  A getaway to one of my family’s favorite cities.  A city that is literally filled with things to do.  Endless possibilities for family entertainment and fun.

I shared my review of the Hyatt Regency – San Antonio on the Riverwalk and I wrote about my trip that is planned to visit Sea World’s Howl-O-Scream.  Now it’s time to offer you and your family a weekend to do the same!

Thanks to the amazing people at the Hyatt Regency they are offering one lucky reader a two night stay to enjoy a mini San Antonio vacation.  The fabulous people at Sea World wanted to team up with the giveaway and offer one lucky reader a chance to take their family to Sea World’s Spooktacular event by providing a family 4-pack of tickets.

That means if you win you’ll have your hotel taken care of for two nights and 4 tickets to Sea World for you and your family.  The hotel is literally on the Riverwalk where there is plenty of other attractions to keep you busy during your second day.

*Giveaway is open to all US Residents 18+ Entries will be accepted until Thursday, October 20th at midnight CST. Any and all comments after that time will not be counted towards giveaway entries. Reader must leave a method of contact within comment and must respond within 48 hours of contact, otherwise a new winner will be chosen. Random.org will be used to select a random winner from comments on this post.

Prize may only be redeemed at the Hyatt Regency located in San Antonio on the Riverwalk.  Sea World tickets are only good for San Antonio location.  Travel accommodations are not included.  Sea World tickets expire December 31, 2011.

  1. My son and I haven’t had a real vacation in over a year!!! The last time we went to Sea World, he was 3 and he doesn’t remember!lol I would love to take him and maybe a friend of his sometime before Christmas!

  4. I need to win because it has been TOO LONG since I visited San Antonio. So many wonderful memories were made there. I would take my hubby and kids with me and we would try to go in Oct. or early Nov.

  11. My family has never been on a vacation, with my husband working in the oilfield and being gone alot of the time it is usually just my 3 girls and I. I would love to be able to take a family vacation on his next days off closer to the end of the month. My family would really appreciate a chance to go!

  15. My family has never been on a vacation, with my husband working in the oilfield and him not being home much it is usually just my 3 girls and I. My family would love to visit Sea World towards the end of the month or next month when he gets days off. We would really have a great time!

  23. WOW. This would be so perfect for us. We have a 3 year old and haven’t been on vacation as a family -ever! We keep trying to find places that are within driving distance of DFW since flying is so expensive, but we have had trouble thinking of something kid oriented. This would be appealing to both my hubby and I- and our animal obsessed daughter! We’d probably go as soon as my hubby could take some time off. It be great while the weather was still so nice!

  28. Our 2-year old nephew lives in SA and we would love to travel down to visit family and take him to experience the magic of Sea World for the first time. When would we go? As soon as possible!

  41. I would LOVE to be able to take my kids to Sea World again. They were promised a family vacation this summer, but timing was bad and we weren’t able to take them. Would LOVE to be able to take them to San Antonio again. They both enjoy history and I would love to throw in a haunted tour along with it. 😀

  44. I would take my BFF! We haven’t had a girls escape in a loooooooong time! I’d love to surprise her and kidnap her for her birthday next month! It would be a much needed break for both of us!

    I would love to win because we have never taken my boys (ages 5 and 7) to Sea World! We have trouble getting away for vacations because my husband doesn’t get any paid time off work. It has been 3 years since we have gone anywhere the 4 of us! Sea World is on our list of places we would like to visit!

  61. wow! this would be so fun for my family of little boys! we actually have to head down to New Braunfels in a few weeks for my cousins birthday party and we were going to have to find a place to stay. no we could really make a mini vacation out of it and stay at a really nice place! this would be great!

  84. My husband and I would bring our children for an extended stay. Our boys are 8ys and 5yrs old. We would love to come back to San Antonio!!! Were awaiting the adoption of our third child…. so this would be a great chance for us to spoil our boys and relax! The time would go fast for sure!

  86. I need to win this because my family needs a mini vacation. My third grader is working hard non stop in school and her nights sometimes do not end until 10:00p.m. because she is up late doing homework and many times she gets frustrated. I think she really need this time (more than anyone in the family) and she really needs the break to clear her little mind! I would take my husband, and my 2 daughters 8 and 2.We would like to try and go the weekend before Halloween-the 28th.

I would take my husband for one night in Novemeber or early December to celebrate our anniversary (something we normally don’t do) and then the second night make it a family night on the beautiful river walk!   91. I want to win because I would like to treat the important people who have helped me this year with my new baby. I would take my husband because he stood by my side n does all he can to care for our child. My mom because with out her I would be lost. She was there every time i need some one or a last minute baby sitter. And my sister she is my best friend and as well helped with my daughter. We would go for Halloween because it’s one of our favorite time of the year. We always go all out!

  95. Just left on both comments………….I have recently started taking care of my 21month old grandbaby, so that my daughter and son-in-law could both work to make ends meet. I live in another town from them so she has to come stay with me 4days out of the wk. She will soon have a birthday and I would love to be able to take her on this getaway as a gift to her.

    I would love to win a chance to stay at the Hyatt Regency, it is just so beautiful. I would love to take my husband (who has never been to Seaworld) and my adult children to Seaworld. The kids and I used to have season passes when they were small and it would be so much fun to re-live that with them as adults!

  100. I would so much like to win this mini vaction at the Hyatt & sea world. We’re originally from San Antonio & make our home in Oregon. Tomorrow we will be departing to TX to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary and to visite my 80 year old mother. I would be taking my husband and what a way of showing my love and so thankful for him serving our country for more than 20 years. We would definitly be going the last week in Oct.

  102. Oh this would be fantastic! We are going to San Antonio in December and we are planning on going to SeaWorld anyway. I love San Antonio, have been there many times, and that’s why we booked our winter vacation to Texas already now. We don’t have hotel reservations yet, so this would be amazing if we won.

  111. This sounds FABulous! The reason I want to win is: It’s been a VERY hard year for our family! 1st I lost my job, then my (grown) Son got hurt @ work, almost losing his left arm. After several surgeries & a long Hospitalization, he can home needing Phys. Therapy, but was just lucky enough to not need skin graFTS. wE HAVE TRIED TO HELP HE & HIS WIFE (2 gRANDKIDS AGES almost 4 & 18 months!) They live 5 hrs away, & it’s tough getting up there to spend time. We usually take a Family vacation @ Labor day ( & also celebrate my Daughter’s B-day, but couldn’t afford it THIS year!) So THIS TRIP would make it possible for us all to get together & have some FUN for once – we could all go, & pay the extra admissions/hotel room between us all. I’m REALLY keeping my fingers crossed, we’ve been wanting to go to Sea World, & we could easily make the drive from Arkansas to San Antonio!!!     I would take my family (kids and hubby to be) around Christmas or New Year’s because Sea World has some amazing decorations and events going on at that time and the Orca’s love the really cold and frigid water. Watching the fireworks over Seaworld would be awesome!

    The reason why I want to take my family is because my classmates from high school, most of them now live in San Antonio and even though some of us are in TX now, we barely get to see each other with families etc, so this would be a great way for us to meet up and hang out with our families and have some fun too. Kinda like a mini high school reunion for our Class of 1996! Yes, I’m that old!
