Jerusalem in IMAX at Fort Worth Museum

The Fort Worth Museum of Science and History is a place I have been visiting since I was a child.  My kids visit on school field trips and the Omni theater is beyond amazing in size and structure.  The dome theater makes you feel like you are flying through the sky and immersed into the film you are watching all around you, literally.

JerusalemThis weekend Jerusalem in IMAX opened at the Fort Worth Museum.  The film is a documentary through National Geographic.

Discover why this tiny piece of land is sacred to three major religions through the stories of Jewish, Christian and Muslim families who call Jerusalem home.  Join renowned archaeologist, Dr. Jodi Magness, as she travels underground to solve some of this city’s greatest mysteries. Find out why, after thousands of years, Jerusalem and the Holy Land continue to stir the imagination of billions of people.

Unprecedented access to the city’s holiest sites, as well as rare and breathtaking aerial footage of the Old City and the Holy Land, combine to make JERUSALEM a unique and stunning cinematic experience.

JerusalemAs a Christian I found it extremely fascinating to watch and learn.  Three women from different walks of life take you on their own tour of Jerusalem; showing you the areas which are important to them and why.  They tell you stories about their families and express their love for their home in the small town of Jerusalem.  One of the women even made a statement that although people from three religions live in Jerusalem: Christian, Jewish and Muslim, they do not necessarily know much about one another.

The breathtaking view of Jerusalem shown in the video reminds you how sacred of a place it is.  It also made me eager to visit Jerusalem one day.
