8 Weeks Down – Knock Out The Fat With George Foreman

It’s been officially 8 full weeks since I started the George Foreman Knock Out The Fat Weight Loss Challenge with Mamavation.  I am so excited to announce that this Sunday I wore a pair of pants to church that I hadn’t wore in over a year!  Before this campaign I wasn’t even able to get these pants up over my thighs and past my booty, let alone button them and they look good.  I’m so excited!  I know it doesn’t show that I’ve lost much weight but considering I wasn’t overweight I guess I just lost it in the areas that mattered the most.  I plan to try and work out more because I really need some more toning but just fitting in one size smaller pants gives me the motivation I need.

The George Foreman website has some yummy recipes that I plan to try.  We have been grilling so much chicken lately because it’s so easy that I want to spice things up a bit.  This week we are going to attempt this recipe along with many others:

Grilled Tilapia with Peppercorn Salsa

  • 1 can (11 oz.) southwestern corn
  • ¼ cup minced purple onion
  • 2 tbsp. chopped cilantro
  • 2 tbsp. diced green pepper
  • 1 large cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ tsp. ground cumin
  • 4 tilapia fillets (about 1½ lbs)
  • 1 tsp. garlic salt
  • ½ tsp. lemon pepper
  • 1 tsp. olive oli

I’ve lost another pound and believe I have reached my ideal weight loss.  Now if I can just tone up the fat I’ll be happy.

  3. WooHoo for a smaller pants size! That is awesome news! Good Luck trying some bolder dishes with the grill. I can’t wait to have this baby so I can tone back up and wear my jeans again. Happy Dance all the way around!

    I love my George Foreman. It is so easy to grill chicken and pork chops on. And yes, sooo healthy too!
