6 Weeks Down – Knock Out The Fat With George Foreman
I started this week off a half pound heavier from my travels last weekend. I attended a couple of events that served food and even though I did go with the healthy options, it is never the same as eating at home. We had several cookouts at my house this week including our Father’s Day celebration on Saturday with the family. The fruit in-take has increased significantly around here. Strawberries during the summer and bananas in our cereal just goes perfect.
One evening this week we grilled chicken. You can see in the photo how the fat and grease just rolls off the chicken and down the grill. The George Foreman grill has a tray that catches it. It’s amazing how much healthier it is than just a normal grill or cooking on the stove top. It also keeps the moisture in which I love and cooks really fast. Less than 10 minutes after putting chicken on the grill we are eating.
The dietitian said I could start adding small amounts of pasta into my meals since I used to eat so much of it and miss it. Keeping the portions under control will fix my cravings yet not cause me to gain weight and ruin a healthy meal. T fixed us a fruit salad made with spinach leaves, strawberries and bananas. The whole family loves eating fruit on our plate and this was an easy way to get the little kids to eat some spinach. Noah even has fun helping cut up the bananas with a butter knife therefore he feels like he helped make the meal.
I weigh exactly the same as I did last week. Which I’m okay with. I’m just happy I didn’t gain any weight while attending events, eating some foods that I love and spending extra time with my kids for summer instead of working out. I’d still like to lose some more weight and I’d love to work on toning up more but right now I’m feeling good just eating healthy.
Full Disclosure: I am one of 10 Brand Ambassadors in the George Foreman Knock out the Fat Weight Loss Challenge. I was sent a George Foreman Grill for my participation in this challenge and will be compensated for my time at the end of the 90 day challenge. HOWEVER, ALL opinions expressed in this post are 100% my own.
That is some yummy looking food. Can I come over for dinner? Have a great week
