10 Scriptures that Explain Easter Perfectly
Easter is this Sunday. It’s easy to get caught up in all of the candy and commercialized nonsense of the holiday, but I think it’s even more important to buckle down and read scripture during the Easter season. We celebrate Easter for a reason, so check out these 10 scriptures that explain Easter perfectly.
John 2:19 Jesus answered them, “Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.”

Mark 16:1-8 When the Sabbath was over, Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James, and Salome bought spices so that they might go to anoint Jesus’ body. Very early on the first day of the week, just after sunrise, they were on their way to the tomb and they asked each other, “Who will roll the stone away from the entrance of the tomb?”
Luke 24:34 (Simon Peter) saying, “The Lord has risen indeed, and has appeared to Simon!”
1 John 5:13 I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God that you may know that you have eternal life.
John 6:40 For this is the will of my Father, that everyone who looks on the Son and believes in him should have eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day.

Mark 9:9 And as they were coming down the mountain, he charged them to tell no one what they had seen, until the Son of Man had risen from the dead.
Isaiah 26:19 Your dead shall live; their bodies shall rise. You who dwell in the dust, awake and sing for joy! For your dew is a dew of light, and the earth will give birth to the dead.
John 10:17 For this reason the Father loves me, because I lay down my life that I may take it up again.
Aren’t these bible verses refreshing? Looking at these scriptures helps us to realize that God does exactly what He says He will do. His love and His promises endure forever. During this Easter season, take the time to remember exactly what Jesus Christ did for human kind. What does that mean for your eternity?
