The Vampire Diaries: Season 2 – Epic Moments

In gearing up for Season 3 to start next month T and I have talked about our favorite parts in Season 2 of The Vampire Diaries.  When being asked – What are your favorite lines or epic moments from Season 2 of The Vampire Diaries? What was the most jaw-dropping scene? – it was difficult to think of just one episode.  We loved the show so much and was always sitting on the edge of our seats in suspense to find out what would happen next.

I would have to say one of the most jaw-dropping scenes for me was when Elena’s biological father was helping the Town Counsel find the vampires by using a device that would only affect the hearing of vampires and literally drop them to their knees.  When the device was set off it actually affected Mr. Lockwood and caused him to be locked up with the captured vampires and put to death.  Tyler Lockwood was driving a vehicle at the time with some of his classmates in the car and when the device went off it caused his eyes to change colors and him to wreck.  He went into severe pain but was not captured.  This was so strange because they were not vampires but it proved they were not human either.  A twist we didn’t expect.

Another epic moment was when Elena’s biological mother showed up and in the end when she put herself to death.  It was interesting seeing the storyline play out with her character and so many died off during Season 2 that honestly I didn’t expect the plot to drop off there.  It makes me more eager to see how Season 3 will play out.
