Genghis Khan Exhibition – Irving Arts Center
The Genghis Khan Exhibition is coming to the Irving Arts Center on June 1st. The story of Genghis Khan the conqueror, the myth and the man is told through a stunning and highly interactive world-tour exhibition. More than 200 artifacts including gold jewelry, weaponry, silk robes, currency, tomb treasures and more are displayed alongside video-screens, hands-on activity stations and role-playing kiosks to create an educational and historical experience for visitors of all ages.
I love visiting museums and art centers. I also love taking my kids to events and exhibits. I think having that in-person, hands-on experience is the best way to learn and get a fresh taste of culture. Plus the kids love it and are usually amazed at the things we get to see. The Irving Arts Center has several events planned to celebrate the Genghis Khan exhibition, including the outdoor family festival on June 5th, the first weekend it opens!
I plan to take my kids while the exhibition is in town between June 1st and September 30th. I’ll be sure to share photos from our visit. Do you plan to attend the Genghis Khan Exhibition in DFW? Will you take your kids?
To find out about the events and keep up to date on all local happenings I suggest you like the Irving Art Center Facebook Page. You can also follow them on Twitter @IrvingArts and follow along with all my tweets about the exhibit by watching for hashtag #GenghisDFW.
