1 Week Down – Knock Out The Fat with George Foreman
It’s been one full week since I started the George Foreman Knock Out The Fat Weight Loss Challenge. My eating habits have completely changed. All meals and snacks have been altered and I’ve learned to grocery shop in a different way. There were even items on my meal plan that I had never even heard of before, let alone tasted. This week has been a new experience to say the least and I’ve truly enjoyed it. The only item I didn’t care for so far was greek yogurt which was easy to exchange off my meal plan for something else.
Eating healthy has not been bad at all and even though the kids were dreading this new change, they have enjoyed every dinner. We’ve all missed the junk food but my cravings mostly went away after about four days. I haven’t had queso in quite a while which is something I miss. My favorite dish has been the turkey burgers and we’ve eaten those twice now. I created a fun video of the kids making the patties and T learning to use the George Foreman grill. Can’t wait to share that!
I wish I could say I’ve lost a ton of weight and the inches fell off. Unfortunately that’s not the case. All my measurements are exactly the same. Waist, hips, thighs and arms all equal what they did last week. However I’m not completely bummed about it. I know it’ll take more than one week and I also know at the rate I was gaining weight, it’s great to just stay the same. Plus with Gabby being in the hospital this week I had to eat left overs at times instead of always cooking fresh healthy meals and my exercise routine has been very low. The stress of driving back and forth to the hospital to care for two children that aren’t in the hospital is exhausting and draining which affected my new health plan. Such is life… right?!
I committed to showing a photo of my scale each week and since I don’t have a scale I’m showing a photo of my Wii Fit Plus. I’m not sure how accurate it is but it actually says I’ve gained 1/2 of a pound. I’m hoping that’s muscle gain or from my clothes being heavier than last week. Yep, that’s what I’m going with...
Besides continuing to follow the meal plans I also hope to kick up the exercise routine more. I have been doing crunches, leg lifts, push-ups and squats nightly even on the days I have been at the hospital and haven’t had any extra time for a full workout. Each night I am slowly increasing the number of reps I do. Noah even took part last night which was really cute.
Full Disclosure: I am one of 10 Brand Ambassadors in the George Foreman Knock out the Fat Weight Loss Challenge. I was sent a George Foreman Grill for my participation in this challenge and will be compensated for my time at the end of the 90 day challenge. HOWEVER, ALL opinions expressed in this post are 100% my own.
The turkey burgers were DELICIOUS! I honestly was nervous about it because I’ve had issues with ground turkey but they came out perfect and my son loved them. Best of luck to you this week!
You are doing such an amazing job amidst all of the stress. I promise it will pay off!!
Great job juggling all the challenge demands with your family needs – I know it can be tough! Don’t be discouraged if measurements don’t change in a week. I usually only do my measurements once a month so I can see progress.
Keep it up, girl!
