Voting Almost Over: Make-a-Wish Foundation

The voting period ends on May 9, 2011 for the Metroplex Cadillac Dealers’ Cadillac Cares Challenge where four charities go up against one another.  I am so sad to see that the North Texas Make-a-Wish Foundation is in THIRD place.  I know all four charities are fabulous and I’m very impressed with the donation being given by the DFW Cadillac Dealers to provide for such a great cause, no matter which one wins.  My passion just lies with the Make-a-Wish Foundation for obvious reasons.

To vote it’s just a click of a like button on Facebook, very simple.  Today is my last plea for you to head over and vote for the North Texas Make-a-Wish Foundation.  This is the same Make-a-Wish Foundation Chapter that provided Gabby with her Wish before her first brain surgery.  This is also the same Chapter that we attend local events with.  They are a great organization and have amazing workers that care about each and every child they help.  Some of the Wishes granted are the last fond memories a family will have with their child.  Many Wish children are battling life threatening diseases that they will not win.  It’s horrible to think of it this way but their Wishes being fulfilled is that one time in their life they get away from the hospital, away from the doctor appointments, have no worries and enjoy their life to the fullest they could ever dream with their family by their sides.  Being a mother and seeing their child smile and truly be the happiest they have ever been in the midst of all the chaos they are going through is a feeling that nothing can ever replace or ever compare to.  It’s a memory that many Wish families will hold onto for the rest of their lives.

I hope you’ll head over to the Metroplex Cadillac Dealers Facebook page and vote for the charity of your choice, my hope is you’ll vote for the Make-a-Wish Foundation.  If you would like to tweet about this challenge before it ends then please use the hashtag #CadillacCaresDFW so we can follow along and retweet any tweets.

Full Disclosure:  DFW Area Cadillac dealers sponsored this post as part of their Cadillac Cares Challenge campaign. All opinions are 100% mine.
