Do you enjoy having family movie nights?  We host one weekly in our home and usually are counting down the days until a new family-friendly movie releases.  On April 19th, Norm of the North will be available on Blu-ray and DVD!  In planning our family movie night to watch the new flick, we put together this blue & white Norm of the North Popcorn Snack Mix.  Get the full recipe below and enter to win your own copy of the blu-ray.

Norm of the North Popcorn Snack Mix

Was your family able to catch Norm of the North at your local theater?  I bet you fell in love with the adorable white polar bear.

Life can be a real bear—just ask Norm, a polar bear with unusual talents and a heart as big as the great outdoors. When he hears that human homes are going to be built in his Arctic backyard, Norm comes to the rescue. With a team of ragtag lemmings at his side, Norm heads to the concrete jungle of New York City on a freewheeling, fun-filled mission to stop the madness and save the Arctic.

Norm of the North Popcorn Snack Mix

Make your Norm of the North movie night extra special by preparing this white and blue popcorn snack mix that the kids are sure to love.  This blue and white popcorn mix would make a great party or kid sleepover snack.

Ingredients

  • 10 cups of popped popcorn
  • 12 oz white chocolate candy melts
  • blue & white sprinkles
  • 1 1/2 cups pretzel pieces
  • 3/4 cup York Peppermint Candies OR blue and white M&M’s

Norm of the North Popcorn

Directions

  1. Pour the chocolate candy melts into a microwavable safe dish and heat in the microwave, stirring every 30 seconds, until melted.
  2. Line 2 large baking sheets with parchment paper.
  3. Place the 10 cups of popcorn into a large mixing bowl and pour the melted chocolate over the top of the popcorn.
  4. Gently stir the melted white chocolate into the popcorn coating it all.
  5. Add in the pretzel pieces and blue & white candies and continue to stir gently
  6. Pour the popcorn mixture out onto the baking sheets and evenly spread it out. Sprinkle with a few extra blue and white candies if you would like.
  7. Let the popcorn set for 20-30 minutes and then gently break apart the pieces.
  8. Store in an airtight container.

  1. We will usually make a big batch of popcorn abnd then mix in something like skittles, jellybeans, or reeces pieces. We all love it and it gives that sweet/cruchy satisfaction.

  2. My favorite snack is air popped popcorn with fresh cheese sliced and apple slices I don’t know why I’m addicted to it but you take a little piece of cheese little slice apple and a couple pieces of popcorn and toss in mouth .. lol

  3. I love eating buttered or cheese flavored popcorn or decent array of trail mix when watching movies!
