I remember when I was a kid I always dreamed of having a pool party to celebrate my birthday.  Unfortunately, that wasn’t possible in February.  Even in Texas the temperatures are not outdoor pool-friendly during the winter.  Times sure have changed.

Last spring Farmers Branch Aquatics Center opened their doors to become a community service center.  They are so much more than a public swimming pool.  The first thing that rang to my childhood heart was their birthday party packages.  With their indoor pool you can celebrate and host gatherings year round.  So don’t pack away those swimsuits yet!  They offer a party room that you can rent.  The prices are extremely competitive to other birthday party entertainment centers.

• Admission for 10 guests (and one adult per child!)
• Whole day of swimming
• Reserved party area

All for only $150.  *Add-ons available at a discounted rate.

I love they offer a therapy pool.  With Gabby’s physical therapy for her Cerebral Palsy, swimming is the best form of exercise.  You would be surprised the muscles you work out in a pool that you didn’t even realize you had.  Aquatic therapy is great for all ages.

The best part of Farmers Branch Aquatics Center is the pricing.  They truly are providing an asset to their community.  Instead of paying high rates to enjoy family time they are offering their services to everyone by being affordable.  You don’t even have to be a resident of Farmers Branch to visit.

3 and older: $3 residents & $5 non-residents

Have a large group and want to rent the facility after hours?  No problem!  On Saturday and Sunday you can rent the facility from 6:30pm – 8:30pm.  Perfect for youth groups and family reunions.

I know I want to check out the aquatic aerobic classes!  With the holidays around the corner I eat more cookies than I should and could use a little motivation to stay in shape.
