5 Thanksgiving Games to Keep Kids Entertained

Looking for some Thanksgiving themed entertainment? There’s an app for that… or five in this case.  Keep the kids busy on Thanksgiving Day while you are busy in the kitchen with these fun iOS apps.

Astraware Thanksgiving Wordsearch

Want to encourage reading and spelling out words?  This Thanksgiving word search is good for just that.

When you find a word on the list, fall leaves will fall down the screen in celebration.

Cake Maker Thanksgiving Feast

Although this game is free, there are some options that are locked unless you purchase the upgraded app.  However, kids can still create cakes by mixing ingredients and decorating with icing and candy or fruit.

There are also some cute Thanksgiving themed candy pieces such as a turkey that you can add to the top of the cake.  Plus, ice cream!  Who wants cake without ice cream?

Thanksgiving Day Match – Turkey Mania

This game reminds me of the ever so popular candy crush.  You match three items to make them disappear and earn points.  As you remove items the remaining items move down the board and the space refills.

All of the items that you match are Thanksgiving themed.  From pilgrim hats to delicious Thanksgiving Day pie.

Thanksgiving Coloring Book

The perfect app for little ones that are unable to read but just love to play on your iPhone or iPad.  This coloring book features several options of designs such as a turkey, a pumpkin and an Indian – just to name a few.

There are multiple colors available to use for drawing or painting.  You can color with your finger by dragging it across the screen or you can use the paint tool to touch and drop.  When you use the paint option it will automatically color the entire area you touch.

You can select the color you want to use across the left side of the bottom and the pen or paint brush you wish to use on the right.  There is an undo button and a save button.

3D Turkey Run

Most people who play games on their iOS device have tried at least one running game.  I’ve played several versions of Temple Run and this game is very similar, except you are a turkey!

As the turkey you are, you run through the game collecting coins and avoiding obstacles.  You swipe across the screen to move side to side and jump over logs.
