7 Ways to Turn Your Camp Out into a Glamp Out
If you enjoy camping but the idea of roughing it doesn’t quite appeal to you, you may want to give glamping a try. Glamping is a glamorous twist on traditional camping, and introducing a whole new crowd to the camping scene. If you are curious about glamping and how you can glamorize your next camp out, take a peek below at 7 ways to turn your camp out into a glamp out.
Add some ambiance
Citronella candles are great for keeping bugs at bay, but don’t forget candles for ambiance too. Use candles on your table when dining and on side tables when relaxing. Find some decorative lanterns and candle holders to add some color as well.
Bring the good linens
When glamping, skip the sleeping bags and bring the good linens instead. Bring a comfortable air mattress or foam mattress, soft sheets, a cozy comforter, and fluffy bed pillows. Fix up your bed just as a hotel would so you feel extra glampy!
Get creative with food
Who says you have to eat hot dogs and beans? Don’t be afraid to bring the fancy food with you when glamping. Try grilling salmon or steaks, make a fresh salad, enjoy a cheese tray, and of course plenty of fresh fruit and champagne.
Decorate your table
Make your meal feel like it is being served at a five star restaurant. Use a cloth tablecloth, cloth napkins, real dishes, fancy glasses, and, of course, add plenty of tapered candles and fresh flowers. You can even use a table runner if you wish!
Fancy up your drinks
Enjoy fruit in your ice cubes, fruit garnishes, fancy glasses, and fun wine glass markers. It is important to stay hydrated when glamping, so having these items on hand will get the job done. You can even add fruit infused water to the menu.
Feel pretty
You don’t have to wear a cut off flannel shirt and jean shorts just because you are outdoors. Try wearing a comfortable and cozy maxi dress, or a fun wide brimmed hat to protect you from the sun, and some fun sandals or flip flops.
Get fancy with entertainment
Enjoy fancy entertainment such dancing (stream Pandora if possible or play your favorite CD), a game of Gin Rummy, or wine and cheese tasting. Listen to the birds call, or gather flowers for pressing and crafting with.

These are great ideas! I like to rough it camping BUT occasionally wouldn’t mind glamping it 😉
I love camping with the family… when it’s not too hot we are miserable. The summer months in Texas can be tough. However, glamping would be fun with the girls.
