It is SIMPLE to give with Champions for Kids

I participated in this program on behalf of Champions for Kids and The Motherhood. All opinions are my own. There are few things that pull at my heart strings more than helping kids in need.  Whether volunteering my time, services or funds – knowing I helped make a difference in a child’s life is priceless to me.  My kids and I are always looking for ways to get involved in our community or ‘give back‘ to those that need it.  When Gabby was hospitalized for over four months our family went through some very difficult times.  I remember being generously blessed by others in our community, some even strangers.  Now I make it our family mission to help others.  Although being on the receiving end did teach me more compassion I cannot say that is the sole reason we give back.  There is no limit on what I set out to accomplish within our community.  I do not look at it as a repayment since there is no finish line.  As long as our family is able, we will donate in any means possible.  If there ever comes a time we are limited on funds then we will continue to donate our time.

Champions for Kids

Champions for Kids makes it simple to give children in local communities the resources they need to thrive. Helping others does not have to come in large doses. Champions for Kids seeks to ignite generational change by fostering a ‘habit of giving’ among youth and parents in America.

SIMPLE Giving

SIMPLE Giving is a Champions for Kids program that makes it simple for you to help kids in your community.

To help children stay healthy and avoid missed school days, Champions for Kids teamed up with Colgate for a SIMPLE Giving program to spread the importance of healthy oral care habits. It was exciting to see the donation boxes setup at our local Walmart for families in the community to make a simple purchase and drop in the box.  Giving back can’t get much easier than that!  Colgate donated $100,000 of oral care products to help children in need. Plus by purchasing a tooth brush or tooth paste at your local Walmart, you knew those donations were going to children within the local school district that were in need.  You could literally be helping your neighbor! Screen Shot 2014-04-16 at 5.20.59 PM Champions for Kids is at it again!  Starting April 21st you can visit your local Walmart and purchase breakfast items to donate.  Now that they have helped with oral health care for children, it’s time to feed them.  Breakfast is such an important start to the day and you would be surprised at how many children have to go hungry.  This SIMPLE Giving collaboration consists of Diamond Foods and Walmart.  Just look for the purple donation bins between April 21st and May 5th.
