Remote Control UFO

|

Kids love playing with remote control toys.  My son loves flying his helicopter around the house and racing his remote control car down the driveway.  When I was asked if I would be interested in reviewing a remote control UFO from TMart I knew it would be a big hit in my home.

Remote Control UFO Toy

When the RC UFO arrived the kids were at school so Andrew and I opened it up to test it out.  I was surprised to see that the outer rim of the UFO was very flexible.  I guess I just assumed it would be a hard round ball.  There are pros and cons of it being so flexible.  The positive thing is that if it bumps into items in your home it isn’t hard so won’t hurt anything.  It even bumped our TV once but I wasn’t worried.  My only worry with it being so flexible is that it may not survive many crashes.

Andrew had fun flying it around the living room and down the hallway.  It took some practice to get it steady.  Once he learned how sensitive the remote was he was able to keep it flying smoothly all around without bumping anything.  He was able to land it without it crashing as well.

My recommendation of age for this toy would be 10 and up.  I have no doubt my seven year old will have fun playing with it.  But I am prepared for him to require a lot of practice before flying it straight.  Since the remote control UFO is reasonably priced I will not worry about him breaking it as much as I would worry if it was expensive.  You can find more Tmart RC Quadcopters online.

Full Disclosure: I received the remote control UFO free of charge to conduct my review.  All opinions are 100% mine.  I was not compensated for this post.

  2. Awesome little review! I think it’s awesome you got your kids a great toy. Remote controlled anything is all the rage nowadays so I’m sure they enjoyed it. I am looking to get one for my little brothers but buying 3 seems a tad excessive! THanks for sharing!
