Tuesday I had to take T to the doctor to get her second round of the Gardasil shot.  Her pediatrician recommended we start this series to prevent cancer during her 12 year old checkup.  The first shot was in June and the final – third shot is in December.

Taking T to get shots is worse than taking Gab or Noah to have anything done.  This time I will give her credit though, she did very well.  Usually she is screaming and begging.  I am dead serious too, you’d think she was two years old.  Gab laughs at her or gets frustrated and tells her to suck it up, poor Gab has been through so much to her a shot is nothing.  T did do great this time by turning her iPod up real loud and pretending it wasn’t happening.  I’m sure the Green Tea Frappuccino from Starbucks helped some too.

Since the morning was hectic for T and my mom is having a rough time right now too we decided to take lunch at the local movie tavern to see the movie ‘Julie and Julia’.  It was a nice break for us all.  We ate lunch at the tavern which was super yummy while watching the movie on big screen.  Doesn’t get better than that.

The movie was so good!  I especially loved it since I’m a blogger and the whole movie was based on Julie starting a blog.  I could relate to how her blog got in the way of her real life yet was a way for her to escape reality and have an outlet.  I would recommend seeing this movie to any woman and especially to all my blog friends.  It was a total chick flick and we all three enjoyed it.

By the way I will post an update about my mom this coming week.  We recently found out she has skin cancer and wasn’t aware the level of it until Tuesday.  She sees a surgeon early next week to schedule her surgery to have it removed off her face and leg and to discuss radiation options.  She is extremely nervous but I will post the results from the surgeon next week.  Keep us in your good thoughts!

Yes, that deer and those turkeys were outside out front door. We have to drive slowly cause we almost hit those deer quite often LOL
