DIY No-Sew Key Fob – Disney Cruise Fish Extender Gift
I have started putting together our Disney Cruise Fish Extender gifts for our next Disney cruise in March. I love crafting so I wanted to make homemade gifts. I have seen several tutorials for key fobs but I put my own spin on these DIY No-Sew Key Fob gifts.
DIY No-Sew Key Fob Supplies
- 7/8″ ribbon – two colors
- key fob hardware
- Mickey key ring
- Peel ‘n Stick Fabric Fuse
- Pliers
I tried fabric glue to hold my two strips of ribbon together and I did not like how it turned out. The glue made the ribbon appear wet, even after it dried. It darkened my ribbon in spots where I placed the glue so I searched for an alternate method. This Peel n Stick Fabric Fuse worked beautifully.
I used ribbon that was 7/8″ in width. I also used key fob hardware of the same width. You can change the size of your keychain but remember to make sure your ribbon and hardware are the same widths so they line up.
For my DIY No-Sew Key Fob – Disney Cruise Fish Extender gifts I wanted to customize them to the favorite character of each recipient. I found these adorable character charms on Etsy and at Michaels craft store. I used the Disney Cruise Line ribbon I found on Etsy and matched the second ribbon to which Disney character I was adding to the wristlet.
For those Disney Fish Extender gift recipients that did not specify a favorite Disney character, I found these cute Mickey key charms that I added for an extra touch.
For the Disney Cruise Fish Extender recipients that did not specify a favorite character, I used red ribbon with the Disney Cruise Line ribbon as the outer ribbon to be shown. This DIY No-Sew Key Fob can be used during their cruise to hold their room key inside a plastic badge extender attached to the key ring and once they return home as a keychain on their car keys.

I love how these turned out so much that I plan to make them as Christmas gifts. They will make the great stocking stuffers. I cannot wait to add one to my own keys.
