Red Carpet Experience for THOR: Ragnarok Premiere – #ThorRagnarokEvent
After receiving the invite from Marvel Studios to attend the red carpet premiere of THOR: Ragnarok, I started planning. What would I wear? Who would I see on the carpet? What will they be wearing? Could my feet handle being in heels all night when I usually work barefoot from my home office?
The excitement kept me wondering and on edge until the big night arrived. It is no secret that Thor is one of our family’s favorite superheroes. My daughter has loved Thor since before the first film came out. Our enthusiasm for this beloved character is what made me even more thrilled to be heading to Los Angeles.
I went with a black lace cocktail dress and heels. Supporting Chris Hemsworth in his new film is worth a little foot pain, isn’t it? Actually, my daughter bought me some gel insoles for my heels so it wasn’t too uncomfortable to walk in them for hours.
The night started with us arriving at the red carpet and taking our sweet time walking down towards the El Capitan Theatre. The red carpet was crowded and a little chaotic – but in a good way. Security kept moving everyone along to make sure we got to our seats in time for the premiere to start. As we walked down the red carpet, we stopped for many photos and to catch some of our favorite celebrities posing for the press.
We had the pleasure of interviewing Karl Urban the next day so it was cool to see him at the THOR: Ragnarok premiere.
The setup outside of the theater was straight out of a movie scene. I wish I could have taken home one of these life-size Marvel Pop! toys.
The cast of THOR: Ragnarok looked beautiful on the carpet, of course. However, they were not the only ones. We spotted several other celebrities out for the night in support of this third Thor film.
After taking my oldest daughter to see Miley in concert two different times, it was neat to rub elbows with her while exiting the same movie theater.
Miley Cyrus, Liam Hemsworth, Frankie Valli, Winston Duke, Ray Stevenson, Lou Ferrigno, Garrett Clayton, Elizabeth Henstridge, Ming-Na Wen, Ryan Simpkins, Mackenzie Foy, Miles Brown, Jon Favreau, Matt Damon and Tim Tebow just to name a few.
We sat on the front row of the theater, which gave us an up-close view of the cast being introduced to the audience. It is amazing to see the chemistry between all these great actors. It gave me confidence they would perform well together on the big screen, and they did not disappoint. This truly was the perfect cast. You can only imagine how much fun they had working together.
When the cast was exiting the stage to take their seats, several of them walked right in front of us. Some of the bloggers got to shake hands with them, which was exciting. The cool thing about watching the premiere with the movie talent is it was their first time seeing the full-length film as well. In several scenes, we turned around to see their expression and reaction to the movie. They were only about 3-5 rows behind us! It was entertaining seeing Mark Ruffalo laughing at himself on screen.
I love attending movie premieres to experience how animated the entire audience gets. They laugh, cheer, holler, and squeal as if they are watching a live action show. The enthusiasm was contagious and everyone loved it.
I apologize for my low-quality photos. When attending a movie premiere you cannot have your camera with you, so these shots were captured on our smartphone. It was dark outside and the lighting was crazy. I’m just thankful to have documented these special memories.
On Thursday, October 19th I’ll be sharing my full movie review. Check back to hear my thoughts on the new film. I cannot wait to take my family to see THOR: Ragnarok in theaters on November 3, 2017!

I always thought it would be fun to attend a red carpet movie premiere. I’ve gone to some premieres at film festivals but never had the chance to meet the stars or dress up for the red carpet. Sounds like so much fun.
